Is Jagdeo talking about his regulators in Guyana, or those in the Bahamas? Not sure. Anyway, what is certain is that Bahamian Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Hubert Ingraham gave his story to the Bahamian parliament, and in it he said, "While there appears to be no record available at this time on this matter, it will be for the Liquidator to determine Guyana’s claim. Guyana’s claim does, however, represent a very serious potential impairment for the Guyana operations."
And in other (related?) developments, CLICO (Guyana) was absent from yesterday's court hearing to determine the continuation of the judicial ruling for the management of the company.
Further...(in an attempt to ferret out the brilliant analytical minds who rule the internet, and who would not be caught with brown tongues hanging out on a "panel discussion" on GuyTV)
If President Jagdeo meant it is the duty of regulators in Guyana to find the money, what implications might that have for CLICO Guyana, or anything else for that matter?
And, if he meant it is the duty of regulators in the Bahamas to find the money, what are the implications there?
