I've had a great year of reading and I encourage you to buy and read ALL the books I shared with you throughout the year. But of course I have my favorites, which I'll highlight one at a time beginning with this post.
One of my favorites is Karen Lord's Redemption in Indigo. It was recently listed by Amazon as one of the top ten science fiction and fantasy books of 2010 in their best books of 2010 listings (not best "caribbean," mind you, best period). But she's not resting on her laurels. Lord maintains an internet presence with a blog, a twitter page, and with guest spots such as this one at Small Beer Press.
